Me Time Stroke Awareness Session For Carers

During the Stroke Awareness session, there will be an opportunity to learn more about both stroke and transient ischaemic attacks (TIA), risk factors for stroke, identifying the signs and symptoms of either a stroke or TIA and understand how a stroke can affect people differently depending on the part of the brain the stroke affected.

The session facilitators will be on hand to answer any questions you may have and to explain the work of the Stroke Association across Wales including, the support available for stroke survivors and their carers once discharged from hospital and provide information about our groups, clubs, projects and activities that we have running in communities across Wales.

What is ‘Me Time’?

‘Me Time’ is a chance to do something for your own enjoyment. These online sessions are a place where you can get involved in a range of activities that you may not be able to do normally and explore new opportunities. We will be doing all sorts of things ranging from group viewings of the great wonders of the world to physical exercise to relaxation and mindfulness and so much more.

These sessions are all about you and your wellbeing.

Come along and have some fun, take a break from your daily routine and share different experiences whilst in the company of other carers.

Interested but this session is not for you? See what else is happening over the upcoming week and months and more about the ‘Me Time’ project
